Before we begin our admissions process, we first meet with parents. This meeting is essential as it allows the parents and us to determine if our services are a good fit for their child. During this meeting, we share information about our services, give parents a tour of the school and learn more about their goals and concerns. If we both determine that our services may be appropriate for their child, we give them a packet that walks them through the steps of the admissions process.
The admissions process varies depending on whether parents are interested in enrolling their child in our academy or after-school tutoring service; however, it includes parents’ giving us copies of certain school records and reports, our administering an educational evaluation to their child, if needed, arranging a school visit for their child (for school enrollment) and meeting with parents again to review our observations, assessment findings and the instructional plan we recommend for their child.
